Each person trained in the Defense Baton training program mustreceive a Defense Baton Student Manual for their initial certification.The Defense Baton Instructor is responsible for purchasing the studentmanuals from Personal Safety Training Inc. Copying of the studentmanuals is strictly prohibited Copyright Laws. Instructors are required to acknowledge that they are not agents oremployees of Personal Safety Training Inc. Trainers will thoroughly explain safety and liability requirements to alltrainees. Every individual trained in the Defense Baton training program must beregistered with Personal Safety Training Inc. One re-test allowed.o Instructor must pass a trainers presentation with an acceptablerating.o Instructor must pass the proficiency skills test with an acceptablerating.o Instructor must adhere to all requirements and guidelines as setforth in this instructor’s manual.o Recertification as an Instructor is required every three years.Defense Baton Student Training Requirements Handcuffing Tactics 4hr. or 8hr. Training Course Certificationo Student must pass the twenty five question written exam with an80% or better. One re-test allowed. If student fails re-test, coursemust be taken over again.o Student must pass the proficiency skills test with an acceptablerating.o Recertification is required every other year.
